PhD Andżela Pykpyk

Anzhela Popyk, PhD in sociology, specializing in the sociology of childhood and the sociology of migration. Assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences at SWPS University in Warsaw. Head of the research projects CHILDTRAN "The Role of Socialization Agents in Transnational Transactions of Migrant Children in Poland" (2020-2023) and EduMAP "Structure and Agency: Transnational and School Transitions of Forced Migrant Children from Ukraine in Poland" (2024-2028), financed by the National Science Center, implemented at SWPS University. Coordinator of the Research Center 'Young People in the Center Lab', SWPS University. Author of 25 scientific publications.

Dr. Marina Mario

Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management at the Transcarpathian Institute of Postgraduate Education. She has 12 years of experience in teaching. Her research interests focus on issues related to the preparation of teachers of general secondary schools to use innovative technologies in the educational process and their possibilities in the field of shaping mathematical competences of students. She has experience in conducting research monitoring the quality of education, on the basis of which she formulates recommendations for founders and managers of educational institutions in order to improve the quality of education and educational activities. She is the author of over 30 scientific publications in Ukraine and abroad.

The aim of the project "Activating Change: Strengthening the Civic Engagement of Ukrainian Refugee and Internally Displaced Youth in Poland and Ukraine" is to examine the dynamics of civic engagement of Ukrainian youth affected by migration in Poland and internal displacement in Ukraine. The researchers will focus on people aged 15-18. They will analyze their participation in school life, local communities and society at large, trying to understand how young people cope with difficulties, how they interact with social structures and how they use opportunities to engage in civic and community activities. The research (in-depth interviews, focus groups) will be carried out in four locations in Poland (Warsaw, Siedlce, Rzeszów and Tarnobrzeg) and Ukraine (Lviv, Truskavets, Uzhhorod and Mukachevo).
